A VPN will mask your ISP. It will keep you safe while shopping, emailing, chats, social media, payments, and dating sites. Many of the services you use will capture your IP address. If you go to a cloning website and don’t know it, they can get your IP, screenshots of logging into websites, and your keywords. This isn’t good.
